Cambodia was a short trip—two days cruising the Tonle Sap Lake where we stayed with a family in the floating village, and three days exploring Angkor Wat. The ruins were impressive. Christina and Catherine, Tersina’s sister and friend, had their first experience of the rigourous life of a photographer by getting up before dawn for sunrise photos.

Vietnam is full of colour and aromas. Our friends left us after Hanoi, having to go back to work. We worked our way from north to south using various means of transportation—train, bus, and motorbike—and savouring everything from Pho Bo (raw beef noodles) to freshly baked French bread and grilled live lobster, usually in street side food stalls, and of course all accompanied by the famous Vietnam 33 beer.
